Is It Enough to Justify the Price? - Osprey UNLTD AntiGravity 64L Review

04.06.2023

For $700 I expected the most expensive backpack ever made to be.... BETTER. This is my review of the Osprey UNLTD AntiGravity 64L! ... 100% Agenda Free : This channel is Agenda Free and is fully supported by the viewers. Support TOGR through Patreon : 🤍 or Support TOGR through YouTube : 🤍 ... The $700 Osprey UNLTD AntiGravity Backpack - First Look What it is : For the last 2 years, Osprey has been working on what is known as the UNLTD project which is a line of backpacks that harness every single advancement, innovation and technology; These packs were designed with a focus on design and performance rather than price. Agenda Free Link : 🤍 Versions : Male and Female Sizes : Small to Medium - 64L Large to XLarge - 67L Measurements : 31.89H X 16.14W X 15.35D IN. Materials : MAIN210D High Tenacity Nylon Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene Ripstop, PFC-free DWR ACCENT210D High Tenacity Nylon Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene Ripstop, PFC-free DWR BOTTOM500D bluesign® approved recycled High Tenacity Nylon, PFC-free DWR YKK Zippers 3D Printed Carbon Fiber Lumbar Pad 7075 Aluminum frame Weight : 5.5lbs Price : $700 Impressions : From what I understand, this pack is based upon the design of the Osprey Atmos AG backpack which is one of my favorite backpacks ever. It’s a top notch system it’s a very good platform to build upon. With the UNLTD AntiGravity, it is impressive to behold; when you look at the quality of the materials, the very intriguing design, innovative features….it’s impressive….impressive from a design standpoint…. But…. Is it $750 impressive; I wouldn’t go that far. Not from a monetary perspective at least not yet. When the testing begins with this pack, that may entirely change….I will talk about this more in a second. My wife said it best when this pack arrived; it looks like a regular backpack and it cost $750 and that is true. From a distance, it doesn’t look to be any different from the majority of backpacks that are out on the market. Standout Features : The 3D printed lumbar support is indeed different and the AutoLift harness system is indeed interesting. Weight : This pack is heavy at 5.5lbs Questions and Going Forward - My Ultimate Question is this : Does the performance of this backpack justify the high price tag? The Atmos AG backpack from Osprey is already incredibly durable, very comfortable and can be found for a good price, around $270 at the time of filming….. How does the UNLTD backpack build upon that and improve upon it….. In other words, how does it justify the price increase? Considering that the OG Atmos AG is already comfortable enough, it is strong enough…what does this pack do differently or substantially better? Question : Is this pack going to be substantially better or is it going to be more of a luxury? Similar to driving a luxury vehicle sort thing? That is what we are going to find out with my upcoming adventures and testing. My plan is to take this pack across the country to test it out in a wide range of environments to see just how well it performs and I will share with you, my completely agenda thoughts on this backpack. My goal here with TOGR is to provide information and that’s it. I don’t push products, I don’t sell products, I don’t do commissions….I bought this backpack so I can review it honestly….so you can make an educated decision with your money. The other UNLTD Backpack : The other pack in the UNLTD lineup is the AirScape and it was designed to be a hauler; in other words, it was designed to carry more weight than the AntiGravity where it was designed with a priority on comfort and ventilation. The price of that pack is $750 as well. ... Web Site : 🤍 Come Join Us on Facebook, Twitter Instagram : Facebook : 🤍 Twitter : 🤍 Instagram : 🤍

This time, it's the infamous Fjallraven Kanken Backpack. Given its trendy and minimalist aesthetic, this pack's gone global— it seems that it's really enjoyed by many. This pack has a plastic/denim feel, flawless stitching, and quality brass hardware. There's not much going on in this pack as it is straight-up minimalist— not much organization and pockets. In the main compartment, you only have a laptop sleeve, and honestly, it's not the best one as it has no false bottom (nor any padding) to protect your laptop or any gear. Something you should take note of, especially when you're planning to bring your gear with this pack! Osprey UNLTD Backpack Review - The world's most expensive backpack!

Here is a review of my Osprey UNLTD Backpack. This is the most expensive backpacking bag in the world! Osprey backpacks have taken all their knowledge and experience and put it all into creating this Osprey Unltd 64 Anti Gravity backpack bag. This Osprey backpack uses the Osprey anti gravity back system. To me it’s the most comfortable system you can buy for carrying weight. The trade-off is a higher pack weight but I promise you it pays dividends later when carrying the backpack fully loaded. The Osprey backpacking bag has lots of innovative features. I love the clamshell design with duel access. The 3D printer by carbon lumbar support really does help you lower back. Whatever you think of this pack, it’s great to see backpacking gear companies pushing themselves and pushing the limits of camping gear. DD40 Ultralight Backpack Review

A review of the DD40 Ultralight backpack designed by Dan Durston and sold through Drop. I'm not a sponsored reviewer, I bought this pack in early 2020 because I was looking for a rugged lower-volume pack suitable for a smaller gear loadout that could still handle heavier weights when necessary. Out of all my packs, the DD40 is my most well rounded, and I've come away incredibly impressed. If you want to see the DD40 in action, I used it on a trip to the Bighorn Mountains in Wyoming Mountaintop Starlight: 🤍 Mountaintop Starlight (Extended Cut): 🤍 Timestamps: 00:00 - Intro 00:44 - Outside Features 01:28 - Putting it On 01:50 - Chest Straps 02:50 - Hip Belt Pockets 03:14 - Side Pockets 03:50 - Floating Map Pocket 05:21 - Internal Frame 05:34 - Things I Can't Comment On 06:13 - Using it on Adventures 06:32 - Performance / Value 07:01 - Dan...You Got Me 07:40 - Conclusion As I note at 07:01, I realize that with this review, I've acquired each of Dan's products, the XMid2P (🤍 the XMid1P (🤍 and now the DD40. I want to make it clear, Dan/Drop never contacted me to do reviews, nor paid me to do them. After I published each of my XMid reviews, Dan commented and thanked me for my thoughts. The truth is, the XMid2P is really the shelter that got me down this rabbit-hole of reviewing in the first place. Because I was one of the first people to get it (I was on the pre-order), I thought I should do a review. Since I love photography and have been a video nerd for over 10 years now, it was easy for me to jump into making reviews and I found I loved it. With the DD40, it really was just a high performing and nice to use pack at a great price. I remember laughing when I finally got my backpacking spreadsheet filled out and realized that it was in this unique sweet-spot of most of the features I was looking for. To be clear, I will probably take my Gossamer Gear G4-20 out as often as this pack. Much like comparing The One with the XMid1p, they're different products for different use cases. When I know what conditions I'll be encountering and feel confident in the environment, I'll probably take the G4-20 and my Deschutes Plus (review of that once the ground thaws). If I'm heading into something new and/or gnarly, there's no doubt I'll use the DD40 and XMid 1P. I digress. I'm not paid. Dan makes good stuff that fits my use cases. So I bought and reviewed it. I shot this review using the Sony A7iii with a Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 lens. For supplemental shots using the a7iii, I used a variety of lenses depending on the trip, mostly the Samyang 24mm f2.8. I shot everything using a custom HLG3 based color profile, and graded using a color space transform in Davinci Resolve, or by hand. I also do all my editing and graphics in Davinci Resolve. Additional supporting shots used the GoPro Hero6 shooting 4:3 4k 30p Flat with Protune on, graded by hand in Davinci Resolve, and stabilized by ReelSteady Go. And there are a few shots captured on the Insta360 OneX.

Junk! - Walmart Lithic 65L Expedition Backpack – Review

Luke has been testing out the Walmart Lithic Backpack for months now and it is time to pass on his review of a product that should be avoided. .... 100% Agenda Free : This channel is Agenda Free and is fully supported by the viewers. Support TOGR with Patreon : 🤍 ... Walmart Lithic 65L Expedition Backpack – Review Agenda Free Link : 🤍 Price : $98.00 Colors : Black Sizes : 40l, 50l, 65l, Weight : 4lbs 4oz Measurements : 14.1x12.6x30.7 in Materials : Duraflex buckles, 200D Nylon – NO NAME Zippers ... Review Pros : If the quality was better, the design of this backpack wouldn’t be bad. It has all of the features and pockets that the average backpacker would need. Good amount of pockets so you can organize as you please. 9 pockets in total; for some reason Moosejaw and Walmart claim 11 but that isn’t accurate. Strap keepers! Lid is floating so you can raise and lower it as your loadout changes. Two access points; top and side – Awesome. Good looks Adjustable for different torso lengths Rain fly is included The shoulder harness padding and waist belt is thick and comfortable….but not thick and comfortable enough to make up for the issues with the pack frame. Review Cons : All of the pros that I mentioned mean absolutely nothing if the backpack isn’t comfortable to wear and it isn’t! My issue with this pack is the frame-sheet and the stays which make up the support of the suspension system. It’s so weak that depending on how you wear the pack, it can literal bow away from your back which puts virtually all of the weight on your shoulders while stressing your spine. I’ve taken this pack out for 2 overnight trips which amounted to about 22 miles of hiking and I won’t be doing any more. It’s simply uncomfortable and as you adjust the load-lifters the pack isn’t rigid enough to handle those adjustments and bows and flexes away from you body. If you take a look at the pack, the top is completely limp and offers no support for the load-lifters to be used. It shouldn’t be like this as this renders them useless. Then if you look at the middle of the frame-sheet, the sides are the same way. Very weak and flimsy. Only the very center is rigid and that isn’t enough to support this pack. If you can wear it with no load lifter adjustment and it is comfortable, this pack may be somewhat more comfortable than what I experienced but I like having the loadout pulled up and towards me just a bit to be comfortable with most backpacks. Hip pocket are small and only very small, very slim items will fit in them. Feels cheap and as you look around the pack you will see that it doesn’t feel very sturdy Outside of the pack has a daisy chain of looping on the front; if you look at the inside of what it has been sewn to, you will find this mess of stitching and fabric for whatever you put in this pocket to get caught on. I’ve had items get caught on this and the lower section of the fabric ripped. The pack was designed to be hydration compatible but it isn’t really. There is ports for hoses but there isn’t a clip or strap to hold the bladder but it looks like there was meant to be one. There is a strap which is sewn and is completely useless hanging on the inside. There is no dedicated sleeping bag pocket – for me this isn’t that big of deal but for some it might be. Where the sleeping bag pocket should be is a small pocket which is absolutely useless once you put anything in side of your pack. As it fills up that space, the zippered pocket becomes so tight that it can’t be used. The lid cinch is in a really weird place and in fact, I don’t know if I have ever seen another company do this before. It’s not centered at the top of the pack, it’s off to the side and it does in fact make opening this pack slightly more difficult than it needs to be. Also the cincher is terrible and more times than not, result in your unzipping the side of the pack instead of opening the top of the pack. Speaking of which, if you are going to implement a side zip, you have to have a snap or a clip to tension it so you can unleash the pack or every time that you go to do so, it unzips instead. Due to the design, it is difficult to seal up the top of the pack and you’ll waste time messing with it. ... Let's talk about a recent travel purchase I made: The Away Zip Backpack — and specifically I wanted to mention how I used my Chase Ultimate Rewards points to purchase it. Review: 🤍 But before we get into the backpack, I do want to mention that because this is a travel video, I figured I'd try out a new travel mic set up. So we'll see how that goes. So if you're not familiar with Away, they are a luggage company that's grown to prominence over the past few years. In addition to offering a variety of suitcases, they also have some backpacks and other bags. So up until now, I've actually been a big fan of messenger style bags, including this one that I like because I could put it on my back and then quickly sling it to my front if I was on public transit or something like that The only problem is that I noticed that, with the more gear I was carrying, this was getting bulkier and then putting all of that weight on one shoulder was really being an issue. So after going to the Away website and checking out a couple of different options, I landed on the Zip Zackpack model. Now I’ll admit off the bat that the color that I ended up getting, which is Moss, was not my favorite, but it was the only one in stock at the time, so I went with it. I do like it more in person than I did in the photos, so hopefully that's the case for you too, if you're not a fan of it the way it looks on camera. There are a few different reasons that I ultimately landed on this model, and one of them was the laptop compartment in the back. In this laptop section, there's also an extra sleeve for a tablet. And to my surprise, my eleven inch iPad with the Magic Keyboard still fits inside of it, albeit it's a bit snug. So I actually have to take the Apple Pencil off and then put it back on separately. Incidentally, right now I'm packing for a trip where I'm trying to get away with just using the backpack instead of getting another carry on. And so I have a medium packing cube inside of it, which seems to fit just fine with plenty of room for other items. I also appreciate the leather key strap that makes it a bit easier to find your keys if they get buried in your bag than on the front. There are actually two little pockets, one with the zipper and one with a magnet. So far, I've really only used the magnetic one, and even that I'm just putting some hand sanitizer in. Meanwhile, the zipper one can actually be a little tough to open if your bag is full and is especially true if you're holding a camera in one hand. Finally, on the back is a quote unquote secret pouch, which can really only be so secret if every review and the pictures on the website show where it is. Still, given how hidden this pocket is and because it's right against your back, it's probably still a good place to keep a passport or some extra money if you're traveling So in addition to the design itself, another thing that I really like about the zip backpack is the quality of the materials. The bag itself is made of nylon, which has a really nice feel and apparently also has some moisture wicking capability. Now, with all that, I should probably get into the price of the Away Zip Backpack, which is $195. Actually at the time that I'm recording this the only available version of the full size zip backpack is a leather one for $245. Alternatively, there's also the small version of the Zip Backpack, which is nylon and is $175. As for the one that I bought, $195 is definitely on the expensive side for me, but I wouldn't call it outrageous per se. And while I'm sure I could have purchased a Jansport or something else that was a lot cheaper, I don't think that would hold up as well over time. I know I've only been on a few trips with the Away's backpack so far, but it does seem like a really well-built bag that will last me a long time Of course, another reason the $200 price tag didn't scare me off as much as it normally would was because I knew that I was going to be cashing in some Chase Ultimate Rewards points thanks to the Chase Pay Yourself Back program. If you're not familiar, Chase launched the Pay Yourself Back program last year and initially made it available for things like grocery store purchases and dining. As you may have guessed. one of those brands just happens to be away. Because of this, Sapphire Preferred and Sapphire Reserve customers can now use their Ultimate Rewards points to pay for purchases from Away at the same rate that they get for redeeming for travel. So in our case with the Chase Sapphire Preferred, we were able to use our points at a rate of 1.25 cents each. So in total, we spent 14,888 points to cover our purchase of $186.11. What is the best hydration backpack for mountain biking? Check out my review of the Raptor 14 by Osprey. This hydration pack is equipped with 2.5 liters of water carrying capacity, so many pockets and compartments it is hard to keep track of them! It is crucial to have not only water but repair equipment when mountain biking out on the trails. That is why I love having all the options in one easy to wear backpack. I am showing the Black version but the Osprey Raptor 14 hydration backpack also comes in Red and Green.
