The show's producer, Will Parker, said Smith was asked to leave after hitting Chris Rock, and then there were discussions about having him physically removed. #OscarsProducer #DidNot #WantWill "He didn't tell any planned jokes," he said of Mr Locke. Mr Parker said that, like many viewers at home, he initially thought the slap might be part of an unplanned comedy, and it wasn't until he spoke with Mr Locke backstage that he was completely sure Mr Smith had actually met the comedian. "I just got hit by Muhammad Ali," Mr Parker recalled, Mr Locke told me. Mr. Parker said Mr. Smith called him the morning after the Oscars and apologized. He praised Mr Locke for remaining calm. "Chris kept his head when everyone else lost their head," he said. "I've never felt so upset," Mr Parker said of the incident. Asked if he wanted the actor to walk out of the ceremony after hearing Mr Smith's acceptance speech, Mr Parker said he would, noting that Mr Smith did not use his words to express real regret and apologising to Mr Locke. "If he doesn't want to give a speech that really makes things better, then yes, yes," Mr Parker said when asked if he wanted Mr Smith to withdraw from the ceremony. "Because now you don't have the look of someone who did this kind of behavior, at that time, in the sense of a conciliatory acceptance speech, missing the point and continuing to stand in the room."

So, the first thing was a concern for her. And then when we saw that she was alright, it was a great Oscar moment." 7. B roll actress Amanda Seyfried 8. SOUNDBITE (English) Amanda Seyfried/Actress, on performing "Do You Hear the People Sing?" with her "Les Miserables" ensemble: "It's huge. It's bittersweet, though, because it's over. You know, I'm not going to see this gang for a while. Everybody just disperses, goes off and does the next project. And it's been nice. I am a super-huge fan of the show and that is the biggest number. We never got to perform it together because when we were shooting it in the movie, you do it separately throughout weeks. So being together, it was a super moment, and I can't wait to watch it. " 9. B roll George Clooney 10. SOUNDBITE (English) George Clooney/Co-Producer, "Argo," on standing silently on stage, as co-producers Grant Heslov and Ben Affleck did the acceptance speeches for the film: "It's Ben's night. SOUNDBITE (English) Chris Terrio/Screenwriter, "Argo": "This feels very heavy and beautiful and I think I need to buy new locks on my crappy apartment door because this will be the most valuable shiny thing in my entire walk-up fifth floor apartment. But the night feels surreal and amazing and I lack words to even say it. And there is George Clooney, who is standing to my right and ..." George Clooney/Co-Producer, "Argo": "This guy who actually wrote ... and I say this all the time, when you option a piece of property, and then you hire a writer, every single time we have ever done it, the first screenplay is shockingly bad. I don't know why. Even the great writers. And we hired him, and he wrote the first draft, and Grant (co-producer Heslov) and I looked at each other and said, 'This is the best first draft we have ever read in our lives.' We hired a brilliant writer." Terrio: "It doesn't get any better, and I will be paying him 20 dollars later for saying nice things." 13. B roll actress Jennifer Lawrence 14. SOUNDBITE (English) Adele Adkins/Recording Artist, "Skyfall": "Oh my god! Jennifer Lawrence put on a pair of flip-flops. That is amazing. I'm going to do that. No. it (winning an Oscar) was amazing.
