Lumetri scopes are several graphic meters that can help you measure or monitor contrast, brightness, and saturation during color grading. There are a few lumetri scopes, but the three scopes I always prefer to use and they are vectorscope (YUV), parade, and waveform. Inside Premiere Pro, we can scroll down to the window to enable lumetri scopes. Next, you can click on the settings icon or right-click here to change the settings. Let's enable vectorscope (YUV), parade, and waveform. You can also change the parade type to RGB and the waveform type to lume. Vectorscope YUV: Vecctorscope provides greater data about the color properties of a video image. The vectorscope represents the color wheel. It has different color indicator boxes. If an image is too saturated, you can see the splash of colordots on the vectorscope. We can adjust it by lowering the saturation. I prefer keeping the white dots inside this safe line. You can also adjust the color correction of any over-saturated color from hue saturation curves. Vectorscope also helps you to balance correct skin tones by isolating the colors first. Waveform (Luma): The waveform luma shows the levels of brightness of an image. It helps you to see how light or dark the image is across your image. On the bottom of the waveform to the left is 0 IRE, which is black, and on top is 100 IRE, which is white. Between them, there are two levels; the clouds or white dots show the brighter part of the image, and the darker area definitely shows the dark part. This is really good info when we want to correct the exposure. Parade (RGB): The RGB parade works similar to the waveform. But it separates the individual colors of an image side by side. It can monitor the level of Red, Green, and Blue in an image, making it easy to compare the relative levels of colors in an image and make adjustments as required for imbalanced colors. This scope helps correct white balance issues too. - Instagram: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍 Business Inquiries: filmbyarif🤍gmail.com - Other Playlists: Adobe Premiere Pro Tutorials ►🤍 Adobe After Effects Tutorials ►🤍 Inspired Video Editing Tutorials ►🤍 Motion Graphics ►🤍 Color Grading in Premiere Pro ► 🤍 Cinematic Travel Films ►🤍 Text Tutorial Series ►🤍 Adobe Premiere Pro Presets ►🤍 Cinematic B-Roll ►🤍 00:00 What is Lumetri Scopes 00:47 How to set Lumetri Scopes 01:17 Vectorscope YUV 02:00 Waveform (Luma) 02:53 Parade (RGB) Tags: #LumetriColor #ColorGrading #FilmbyARIF
🤍 The YC Waveform graph in Premiere Pro gives us a graphical display of the Luminance (brightness) and Chrominance (color) of our footage and is an essential tool for correcting and improving the look of our image by giving us empirical data about the changes we make rather than just relying on our eyes. In this short tutorial, Andrew Devis introduces the YC Waveform graph and shows how to use it as a reference for brightness adjustment of a shot.
🤍 In this tutorial, Andrew Devis introduces the RGB Parade and explains how it can give us information to quickly see how well balanced a shot is and what problems there may be.
This a basic guide to color correction within Adobe Premiere Pro using the Lumetri Color and Lumetri Scopes Panel. All of the steps are not the only way to work with the footage. Each camera and monitor will behave differently which may produce different results. Here are the notes from the video: Lumetri Scopes: Color Correction VS Color Grading Color Correction 1) find the correct white balance -rgb parade -luma values -vectorscope 2) luma values 1-exposure 2-whites 3-highlights 4-shadows 5-blacks 3) saturation -vectorscope limits 4) HSL Secondary -skin tones Color Grading 1) adjustment layer -video track placement 2) get artsy -there are loose rules?

🎁 FREE browser extension to grow your YouTube channel: 🤍 Adjusting skin color in Premiere Pro can be done in a lot of different ways. I'm going to show you one way of doing it but just remember, always when it comes to color correcting and color grading, you need to have a lot of patience to get the way you want. For this method, you want to add 3 different effects to your clip: "Lumetri Color", "Crop" and "Fast Color Corrector". Go to the "Effects" window and type in the search bar to find them and then just drag and drop them onto your clip. Before you start correcting, open the window "Lumetri Scopes" to have some proper guidelines. Right click anywhere in the window and make sure these three are selected: Vectorscope Parade Waveform (If it doesn't say "RGB" and "Luma", you can change that at "Parade type" and "Waveform type".) No, go to the "Effect controls" window. Start with "Lumetri Color" and go down to "Curves", "RGB Curves". Change the white so that the "Waveform" stretches from 0 to 100. You increase contrast by dragging the highlights to the left and the shadows to the right. Then, go up to "Basic correction" to set the white balance. If you have a white spot in the image, you can click the "WB Selector" and then simply click that spot in your "Program" monitor. Otherwise, change the colors manually by using "Temperature" and "Tint" or by dragging the RGB Curves for each color. Now close "Lumetri color" and go down to "Crop". Click "Free draw bezier" and select an area that only covers a part of the skin. Change one of these values to 100 and then click "Invert". When you go down to "Fast color corrector" it will show you the color information only for this area, the skin tone, in "Lumetri Scopes". You want to adjust the skin tone so it's on this line between red and yellow. You do that by going to "Hue angle" and change the value. Just click on the number and use the arrows on your keyboard and click up or down to increase or decrease the value, so that it ends up on the line. Then, when you're happy with that, just toggle the "Crop" effect off, by clicking on the Fx-icon next to it. If you want to adjust it even further, go back up to "Lumetri Scopes" or toggl "Crop" on again and go down to "Fast Color Corrector".
