Formula 1 has often struggled to break into the American market. Historically, the United States has produced several successful drivers, but in more recent years investment and interest in Formula 1 has been superseded by domestic series like IndyCar and NASCAR. In 2014, businessman Gene Haas decided to spread his influence out from his eponymous tool manufacturing company and NASCAR team and create a Formula 1 team of his own. This is the story of Haas F1 Team. When Haas's upgraded 2022 F1 car was revealed, it triggered a game of ‘spot the difference’ in comparison to the Ferrari F1-75. Since Haas made its first appearance in Formula 1 in 2016, similarities between its cars and those of Ferrari have been a regular talking point. The upgraded Haas makes it the only team other than Ferrari to adopt the distinctive scallop-shaped top surface of the sidepods, so to the naked eye the resemblance is obvious. But with the way Haas does things through its technical partnership with Ferrari that supplies components and use of the Maranello windtunnel, the car is unquestionably legal. #F1 #Ferrari #Haas Subscribe: 🤍 Website: 🤍 Twitter: 🤍wearetherace Instagram: 🤍wearetherace Facebook: 🤍 Podcasts: 🤍 Thanks for watching - please like, share and comment, please also hit subscribe to show your support so we'll keep doing what we're doing. 🤍 🤍

Ever since Haas joined the grid back in 2016, they have had an up-and-down history in the sport with several issues hurting them across the line. They have had years where they have been fighting at the top of the midfield and then going to fight at the back of the grid getting no points in a season like in 2021. Haas are the only American team right now even though their car is mostly made in Italy by Ferrari but that is a story for another day. Haas has become somewhat of a fan favourite over the past couple of years and this is mainly down to Gunther Steiner but also the influence of drive to survive as they are featured a lot on the show. 2021 was a throwaway year as they did not upgrade their car one bit as they focused on the brand new 2022 regulations which many thought was risky but it seemed to work. They had a much better start of the season but dropped off as the season went on but it was a step in the right direction for the team. 2023 seems to be a year where they are trying to build on last season but they hope to be able to keep up their good performance as the season goes on. They have the pace and probably deserve more points but there are 4 teams who are all fighting for the podiums meaning that only 2 points positions are up for grabs in most races but Haas does have a good chance of improving on last season. In today’s video, we will talk about how they are having both drivers in Q3 in most races and their pace is mostly good, how good they looked in Miami and how Hulkenberg has proved all of the haters wrong it seems, let’s get straight into it, shall we? Kevin Magnussen has failed to capitalize on the #1 driver in the team with the arrival of Hulkenberg. Although many were quick to think that Hulkenberg would have a hard time accommodating the harsh reality of Haas, the recent results show otherwise, and if there is one thing that we’ve learned about Haas in the past, it’s that they don’t have patience for underperforming drivers. Is Nico’s recent rise in performance going to be crucial for the team to choose another driver from 2024 onwards?
