For this and more on R-Series Low Collar Bongo Drumheads visit: Fiberskyn® - 🤍 Nuskyn® - 🤍 Skyndeep® - 🤍 The R-Series, Low Collar, Skyndeep® Bongo drumhead is the ultimate combination of a great look while still maintaining the integrity of a great sounding drumhead. Skyndeep® is the graphic infusion of pigment into a polyester surface making it uniquely attractive and providing a weather resistant drumhead with warm tones that increases sound, volume, and projection in any environment. The Low Collar construction is designed specifically to accommodate the various bongo drum manufacturing brands that are equipped with a radius counter hoop rim. This allows for a comfortable playing relationship between the counter hoop rims and playing surface. The design also reduces the amount of torque needed while tuning the drum and minimizes the tuning hook length that may stick out the base of the drum, something that drummers who play seated can really appreciate! R Series Low Collar Bongo drumheads are available with Fiberskyn, Nuskyn and Skyndeep Remo proprietary films that are designed for all styles of music. R-Series Low Collar Bongo drumheads fit “regular” full size model Bongo drums from most of the major manufacturers. Remo identifies “regular” full size model Bongos as the large drum (hembra) 8 1/2” or 8 5/8” and 9” sizes and the small drum (macho) measuring 7” or 7 ¼”. Available in sizes: 7.15", 8.50". ——————— Website: 🤍 Instagram: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍 Twitter: 🤍 Subscribe to Remo on YouTube: 🤍

While hanging at my backyard I found an old and many years back discarded Remo Fiberskyn Symetry Synthetic Conga Head... As I examined it, I noticed that in spite of having been for years outside and exposed to all kinds of things, including my dogs "Kona" occasional attacks, it remained in pretty good shape... I bought a new one of exactly the same type, put them side to side and compare them. The results surprised me! Enjoy it!

Learn how to play the bongo drums in this video lesson. First-time hand drummers will practice the basic martillo rhythm and other beginner patterns and grooves. Practice playing on the Latin Percussion Bongo Drum: 🤍 Bongos (Spanish: bongó) are an Afro-Cuban percussion instrument consisting of a pair of small open bottomed drums of different sizes. In Spanish the larger drum is called the hembra (female) and the smaller the macho (male). Together with the conga or tumbadora, and to a lesser extent the batá drum, bongos are the most widespread Cuban hand drums, being commonly played in genres such as Cuban son, salsa and Afro-Cuban jazz. Bongo drums produce relatively high-pitched sounds compared to conga drums, and should be held behind the knees with the larger drum on the right when right-handed. It is most often played by hand and is especially associated in Cuban music with a steady pattern or ostinato of eighth-notes known as the martillo or "hammer". They are traditionally played by striking the edge of the drumheads with the fingers and palms. The glissando used with bongó de monte is done by rubbing the third finger, supported by the thumb, across the head of the drum. Bongo drummers are known as bongoseros. Many wonderful performers all over the world have put out a lot of videos comparing the sound of the conga head, but what I felt was fiber skin in the form of matching the video of the 7-beat conga groove that I uploaded the other day. I would like to tell you with a video of playing a conga using. The instruments used are 11.75 inches and 12.5 inches of Master Diamond Conga from "Tycoon percussion". The right side of the image is a genuine buffalo head, and the left side is REMO Fiber skyn M7-1175 & 1250-F6. It's just a personal impression, but is the buffalo head a dry sound? (I love this feeling) The fiber skin sounded a little wet compared to that. It may be due to tuning, but compared to the genuine leather head, the fiber skin still feels that the sustain of the sound is longer (the head vibrates well), and the open tone sound is better than the genuine leather head. You can feel the plump sound. Although it feels like a hand, the fiber skin has almost no friction and feels like slipping. Therefore, you will not feel the unique feel of genuine leather when your fingers and head come into contact with each other, and those who are familiar with genuine leather heads may be a little confused when producing each tone. When you actually play and make a sound, you can feel the goodness of the genuine leather head and the goodness of the fiber skin, but in humid Japan, using such a fur bar skin is very beneficial. In addition to simply seeking volume, the number of live concerts and recordings using fiber skin is increasing worldwide in the acoustic music scene, making it one of the standard conga sounds in terms of timbre. I don't hate it. It is one thing to use properly depending on the performance scene. I'm glad if you can use it as a reference. #congas #percussion #コンガ #パーカッション

The Kid's Percussion Bongo comes pre-tuned with our popular Fiberskyn drum head. The bongos are an important part of the Afro-Cuban family of rhythm instruments. The set is normally held between the player's knees so the bottoms of the drums are off the floor. Play infinite patterns of rhythms with the fingertips.
